What AI Optimize does

AI Optimize highlights suggested changes for a set of checks in the Yoast SEO analysis. You see exactly what it wants to change and why, then choose to apply it or leave your text as it is. The decision always stays with you.

Right now, AI Optimize covers keyphrase in introduction, keyphrase distribution, keyphrase density, sentence length, and paragraph length.

Currently in beta

AI Optimize is in beta, so a few limitations apply for now:

Available for texts up to around 1,000 words. The button is inactive for longer texts.
Works in the Block Editor, on Paragraph, Heading, List, and Table blocks. Content in other blocks can’t be optimized yet.
Longer texts can take up to a minute to produce a result.

Is AI Optimize free?

No. AI Optimize is included in Yoast SEO Premium, Yoast WooCommerce SEO, and Yoast SEO for Shopify.

Which SEO checks does it cover?

Keyphrase in introduction, keyphrase distribution, keyphrase density (underused only), sentence length, and paragraph length.

Can I accept just part of a suggestion?

Not yet. You can currently accept or dismiss a full suggestion; partial acceptance isn’t available in this beta.

Does it work with page builders like Elementor?

AI Optimize currently works in the WordPress Block Editor only, on Paragraph, Heading, List, and Table blocks.
