How to activate X Cards in Yoast SEO
X Cards is a system used by X. Combined with the Yoast SEO features, links shared on X will display previews with images and text excerpts. It is enabled by default to, but if you want to check whether this feature is activated, follow the steps below. We’ll also show you where you can enter your X profile.

How to activate X card data in Yoast SEO
The X card data feature in Yoast SEO is enabled by default. You can check this by going to Yoast SEO>Settings>General>Site features.
- Log in to your WordPress website
When you log in, you will be in your Dashboard.
- Click on Settings in Yoast SEO
In the menu on the left-hand side, click on the Yoast SEO menu. It will expand so you can open the Settings.
- Under General, open the Site representation settings
- If your site represents an organization, add your X profile
If your site represents an organization, add your X profile here.
- If your site represents a person, select the user
At the top of the Site representation settings, you can choose Person instead of Organization. Then select the correct user from the drop-down menu and save the changes.
- Follow the link to update the user profile
Once you have saved the changes, you can follow the link to the WordPress user’s personal profile.
- Update your X profile
You can now fill in your X username, connecting it to your site.
- In the Yoast SEO settings, go to Site features
- Scroll down to the X card data feature.
Under the Social sharing category, X card data will automatically be enabled. The checkmark slider will be purple.
- If you make any changes, don’t forget to save your changes!
Using X Cards in Yoast SEO
