I work for Yoast as a remote support engineer. I am proud to be a part of the support team as we are an integral part of the company that makes sure our users and customers have the best experience possible with our plugins and courses. I learn something new about SEO each and every day. I really do think we’re making the web a better place. It doesn’t matter if it's a small brick and mortar shop or a big organization, with Yoast, everyone has equal opportunities to rank in the search results.
I currently live in Cebu, which is 1 out of the 7,107 islands of the Republic of the Philippines. I studied and graduated with a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of San Carlos in 2013. I’ve always loved sharing useful and interesting content, so I launched a WordPress blog way back in 2009 that focused primarily on the local scene and culture.
I landed my first job working for a global printing and solutions company as a material specialist and eventually progressed to a business systems analyst. I also had a short stint as a systems analyst for another start-up IT company. I then applied at Yoast in 2017 and have never looked back since.
My current interests include coffee, sneakers, mechanical keyboards, mechanical watches, and perfumes. I also love playing video games, photography, listening to music, basketball, and keeping up-to-date with the latest tech. I also really love to travel, and I have a particular soft spot for waterfalls and amusement parks.
