Maria Gomez Benitez

I’m from Spain, but I’ve lived in the United Kingdom for the last seven years.

Before embarking on my journey with Yoast, I worked as a product owner/business analyst for a telecom company. However, my background is in the academy, and prior to transitioning into tech, I earned a PhD in Economics. This fueled my curiosity about the global economy and development.

I love working in tech because it lets me explore new ideas and put my research to the test. I’m all about finding innovations and improving products and processes.

When I’m not at work, I’m probably reading about the global economy, learning history or planning my next travel adventure. I also enjoy hanging out with friends to cook new dishes or listening to comedy podcasts. In the last few years, I’ve also become a CrossFit lover. It’s my go-to for stress relief and recharging my energy.
